Tourism office in Umm Al Quwain defraud customers

Travel and tourism office was open after meeting  conditions, having extracted all the necessary permits directly from the relevant authorities  in Umm Al Quwain for work, But greed blind his insight after customers frequented to his office and charging amounts exceeding 200 thousand AED, bringing the illusion to customers, who would like to travel and spend holidays outside that their hotel bookings have been completed, and their tickets are ready, and the place has been fully configured, considering  that the punishment does not exceed warnings and breaches then the closure, but the owner of the office was surprised when the Department of Economic Development in Umm Al Quwain decided to refer the case to prosecutors in order to retrieve the rights of customers, and that after more than 15 complaint to the section of Consumer Protection in the Department stating that The lack of credibility of the office and defraud them, and that bookings were fake, which embarrass them with their families.
Mansour Sultan Al Kharji, Director General of Department of Economic Development in Umm Al Quwain said that there are more than 15 complaints received from customers to the Department of Consumer Protection regarding  to defraud from one of travel and tourism offices working in the emirate after taking their money, which exceed  200 thousand AED and deludes them that all their reservations and their tickets are complete and the date of travel to destinations is imminent, pointing that the department formed a team of Consumer Protection section inspectors to investigate the case, after receiving complaints, and it turned out the credibility of the complaint and defraud the owner after checking the office, and after confirmation of the validity of the complaints the office was closed and the file referred to the public prosecutor in Umm Al Quwain Court to take the necessary procedures , and to retrieve the customer funds.
Director General of Department of Economic Development in Umm Al Quwain warned  all tourist offices owners working in the emirate,  to comply with governing regulations and laws to practice economic activity in the emirate, noting that there are scheduled inspection campaigns for all business establishments in the emirate in order to monitor its activities and the extent of its commitment to laws of its work Department, in order to direct it and comments to amend the breach situations, that to protect the consumers and dealers with those facilities, pointing that it was created a Consumer Protection section in the department, and has been provided with a number of inspectors to receive and see complaints at once protecting the rights of consumers, appealing to the public the need to immediate report about any irregularities or comments or complaints to the Consumer Protection Section in the department, through all the modern means of communication.
