The Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has endorsed the Flag Day Initiative, to be observed annually on 3rd November each year by the UAE people concurrently with the anniversary of the election of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as UAE President. The Flag Day initiative reflects respect for the flag as a symbol of sovereignty and unity.
